RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE DESIGNATION OF RESTRICTED AREAS WHICH PROHIBIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF LARGE SOLAR FACILITIES IN FAIRFIELD COUNTY, OHIO

On April 16, 2024, the Fairfield County Board of Commissioners passed resolution 2024-04.16.a; a resolution to approve establishing a public hearing to consider the designation of restricted areas which prohibit the construction of large solar facilities in Fairfield County, Ohio. These restricted areas would prohibit the construction of large solar facilities under R.C. 303.58(a). FAIRFIELD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER COMPREHENSIVE PLAN IF RECOMMENDED AT UPCOMING REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

The Fairfield County Board of Commissioners will consider the Fairfield County Comprehensive Plan should it be approved and recommended to the Commissioners during an upcoming public meeting of the Regional Planning Commission. The meeting is scheduled for March 5, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the Fairfield County Workforce Center located at 4465 Coonpath Road NW, Carroll.
